I got a recipe Stuffed Eggplant from the Vegetarian Bible book. It wasn't very good... borderline gross, so I won't share it with you. Serves me right for choosing to cook from a vegetarian book. Although it looked good, it was lacking flavor. In a jest the dish is eggplant, penne pasta, canned tomatoes, oregano, garlic, onions and mozzarella served in a hallowed out eggplant. I'm going to browse this month's Food&Wine for some inspiration.
In the meantime, enjoy some pictures of the Bon Jovi concert at ARCO from Tuesday's show.
(P.S. I love my new camera... it has 12x optical zoom so it takes these amazing pictures from far away)
Opening Act: Dashboard Confessional
I don't have any of their recent CD's, but I do have their old stuff and it's very teenage angst-winy-I'm sad because I was dumped kind of music. I liked it back then, not so much now. I wonder why they opened for Bon Jovi, I doubt more than 20 people knew who they were in that type of crowd.
My favorite Jersey boy :)
John Bon Jovi is like a fancy bottle of red wine... gets better with time.
"A shot to the heart, and you're to blame -- darling you give love a bad name" - I bet now you're going to be singing that song in your head all day long.
John singing with the fans... he's such a man of the people.
Richie Sambora!
Little boys at the concert and they were really enjoying themselves, dancing and yes, fist pumping. Adorable =). One of the concert highlights.
The butt shot
On a steel horse they ride...
Bon Jovi is a band that I wanted to see live in my lifetime. I'm glad I did that.
Happy birthday John! (It was his birthday that day)
I hope you see Bon Jovi live sometime. I leave you with these final words:
"We've got to hold on, to what we've got. Doesn't make a difference if we make it or not. We've got each other and that's a lot for love..." Ever notice how this song is so relevant to today?
Wednesday is done -- the worst day of the week for me.
Sarah.Out.
I'll cook this weekend.
Thank you for the butt shot. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I couldn't go :(
Looks like an awesome time! I'm so glad you got to see him. You should think about making a list of everything you want to do in your lifetime and put this one on the list...then cross it off.
ReplyDeleteIt kills me how EVERYONE has cameras at concerts now, when I used to have to sneak mine in!
