I don't say this with any scientific proof but I think not eating meat, dairy or oil has significantly decreased my alcohol tolerance. I went out to happy hour with a friend and had only about two and a half beers in a span of about an hour and a half to two hours which normally that would give me a good buzz. I walked home, and once I got home, I was completely drunk as if I had spent the entire night drinking shots and not in a good way. I fell asleep on the floor, got up absolutely miserable, puked, then remained horizontal for the rest of the night. That all started at 5 p.m. Which is why I am now wide awake at 4 a.m. on a Saturday.

And you know what? We didn't puke at all. We think you need more for dinner than a tortilla. It makes you seem alcoholrexic. We also wish you were celebrating with us. We missed you.
your dinner sounds fab!
ReplyDeletei wanted to eat more than a tortilla... but i couldn't consume anything.. not even water! i was a mess. i was thinking what if i needed to go to the hospital. ha ha.
Perhaps your "friend" should have had you eating something more than a tortilla.
ReplyDeletei wasn't eating at the bar, because it was like 4:30ish p.m. way too early for dinner.
ReplyDeletei didn't feel that drunk until i got home around 5.. and like i said it's not like i didn't want to eat anything, i just couldn't.
Now i know my tolerance is lower.
2.5 beers shouldn't make you puke...it had to have been something else.
